FAQ's

What is Temple Keepers?

Temple Keepers is a Christ-centered health and fitness ministry that helps Christians care for their bodies like the temples they are.

We believe health is not just about losing weight, following a diet, or trying harder. It is about stewardship, obedience, worship, and learning how to honor God with your body, soul, and spirit.

Through biblical teaching, practical coaching, nutrition guidance, movement, rest, peace, and accountability, we help believers build healthy habits that align with God’s design.

Who does Temple Keepers work with?

Temple Keepers works with individuals, churches, Christian businesses, and faith-based organizations.

For individuals, we offer two main levels of support.

The Temple Keeper Academy is our online group coaching community and lower entry point. Inside the Academy, members receive Christ-centered teaching, weekly coaching calls, workouts, practical nutrition guidance, community support, access to our Temple Keeper Blueprint, and a simple Weekly Reflection form to help them pause, look back on their week, celebrate progress, identify where they need support, and keep taking faithful steps forward.

We also offer 1:1 coaching for those who want a more personal and customized level of support. 1:1 clients receive access to the Temple Keeper Academy, plus a much deeper level of individualized coaching, accountability, and guidance.

Because our coaching is online, we can work with clients no matter where they live. Each 1:1 coaching journey begins with a two hour Deep Dive Call so your coach can clearly understand your goals, health history, habits, challenges, season of life, and specific needs.

From there, your coach builds a personalized plan that may include customized nutrition guidance, personalized workouts, weekly coaching feedback, daily habit tracking, and practical action steps based on what you need most that week. You’ll also have direct access to your coach 6 days a week for support, questions, accountability, and encouragement.

As part of 1:1 coaching, you also receive full access to the Temple Keeper Academy, and you get to gift Academy access to a loved one so they can walk alongside you on the journey.

Temple Keepers also partners with churches, pastors, staff, and congregations through workshops, speaking events, staff support, and our 6-week health initiative program. These partnerships help churches teach biblical stewardship of the body in a practical way that supports the health of their people and ministry.

We also serve Christian businesses and organizations through workshops, events, and 6-week health initiatives designed to help teams care for their bodies, build healthier rhythms, and honor God in the way they live, work, lead, and serve.

Do you only work with individuals?

No. We work with individuals, churches, and Christian businesses or organizations.

Individuals can join the Temple Keeper Academy or apply for 1:1 coaching. Churches can partner with us for workshops, events, staff support, congregational health initiatives, and 6-week programs. Christian businesses and organizations can bring Temple Keepers in for workshops, events, and health initiatives for their teams.

What does it mean to care for your body like a temple?

The Bible says our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we are called to honor God with our bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Romans 12:2)

At Temple Keepers, we believe this means your body is not a project to punish or an idol to obsess over. It is a gift to steward.

Caring for your body like a temple means learning how to nourish it, move it, rest it, renew your mind, surrender stress, and live in a way that reflects who you are in Christ.

Is Temple Keepers a Christian health and fitness program?

Yes. Temple Keepers is built specifically for Christians who want to get healthy in a way that honors God.

We do not separate faith from health because we believe the way we care for our bodies, minds, habits, and daily choices is deeply connected to our walk with the Lord.

Our approach is Christ-centered, practical, and rooted in biblical stewardship.

Does Temple Keepers have a Statement of Faith?

Yes. Temple Keepers is rooted in the truth of God’s Word.

We believe the Bible is our foundation and authority for life, faith, obedience, worship, and how we care for our bodies. We believe in one true God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and is the only way to salvation.

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works or human effort. We believe the Holy Spirit lives within believers, leads us into truth, convicts us, comforts us, empowers us, and helps us become more like Christ.

We believe every person is created in the image of God and has value, dignity, and purpose. We also believe our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that caring for our bodies is an act of stewardship, obedience, and worship.

At Temple Keepers, our desire is to help Christians care for their bodies like the temples they are — body, soul, and spirit — for the glory of God.

Who is Temple Keepers for?

Temple Keepers is for Christians who want to care for their bodies like the temples they are and are tired of the worldly cycle of dieting, starting over, shame, guilt, and quick fixes.

Many of our members and clients are working on things like weight loss, emotional eating, cravings, consistency, low energy, strength, sleep, stress, hormones, menopause, bloodwork, and building better habits.

Temple Keepers is a great fit for someone who is teachable, ready to grow, and wants support that connects faith, health, and daily obedience.

Is Temple Keepers only for women?

No. Temple Keepers serves both men and women.

We have women, men, couples, parents, pastors, ministry leaders, business owners, and everyday believers who want to honor God with their health.

Some of our programs and coaching options may serve different needs, but the mission is the same: helping Christians care for their bodies like the temples they are.

What is the Temple Keeper Academy?

The Temple Keeper Academy is our Christ-centered membership community where we help Christians build healthy habits around nutrition, movement, rest, and peace.

Inside the Academy, members receive biblical teaching, practical health education, workouts, weekly coaching calls, community support, access to our Temple Keeper Blueprint, and a simple Weekly Reflection form to help them pause, look back on their week, celebrate progress, identify where they need support, and keep taking faithful steps forward.

The Academy is designed to help you stop trying to figure everything out alone and start walking out faithful, sustainable habits with support.

What is the Temple Keeper Blueprint?

The Temple Keeper Blueprint is our core coaching curriculum.

It walks you step-by-step through what it means to become a Temple Keeper by building healthy and holy habits on the right foundation.

The Blueprint helps you understand your body, renew your mind, create practical rhythms, and learn how to honor God with your health in daily life.

Both Academy members and 1:1 coaching clients walk through the Temple Keeper Blueprint. Academy members work through it inside the Academy at their own pace, while 1:1 clients walk through it with the added support, guidance, and personalization of their coach.

What are the main pillars of Temple Keepers?

Temple Keepers focuses on four main pillars:

Nutrition

Movement

Rest

Peace

Nutrition helps you learn how to nourish your body with the foods God gave us.

Movement helps you build strength, energy, and consistency.

Rest helps you honor God’s design for sleep, recovery, and Sabbath.

Peace helps you surrender stress, renew your mind, and live from your identity in Christ instead of shame, striving, or fear.

Do you provide meal plans?

Temple Keepers provides nutrition guidance, education, practical strategies, and support, but our goal is not to make you dependent on a rigid meal plan forever.

We want to equip you to understand how to nourish your body with healthy, God-honoring foods for the rest of your life. If we only handed you a plan to follow, that would not teach you how to make wise, sustainable choices in your own home, schedule, family, and season of life.

Instead, we start with the nourishing foods you and your family already enjoy, then help you build from there. You’ll learn how to create meals, make better choices, support your goals, and build habits that actually fit your real life.

For 1:1 coaching clients, nutrition support is more personalized based on your goals, needs, preferences, family rhythms, and current season of life.

What do you mean by “God Food”?

At Temple Keepers, we often use the phrase “God Food” to describe the foods God gave us to nourish the body.

This includes foods like fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, grains, nuts, seeds, and water.

The goal is not legalism or fear around food. The goal is to learn how to trust God’s design, nourish your body well, and use man-made foods with wisdom instead of letting them control your cravings, habits, or health.

Do I have to eat perfectly to be part of Temple Keepers?

No.

Temple Keepers is not about perfection. It is about faithfulness.

We help people move away from all-or-nothing thinking and learn how to take the next faithful step. You do not need to have everything figured out before you start.

We also teach that God’s design for food includes biblical rhythms of eating: feasting, fasting, and normal everyday nourishment. There is room in God’s design to enjoy food, celebrate with food, and feast with gratitude. The goal is not fear, guilt, or rigid control. The goal is learning how to honor God with food in a way that is wise, joyful, and surrendered.

In fact, if you feel stuck, overwhelmed, inconsistent, or tired of starting over, you are exactly the kind of person we love helping.

Do you help with emotional eating and sugar cravings?

Yes. Emotional eating and sugar cravings are two of the areas we talk about often inside Temple Keepers.

We believe emotional eating is not just about food. It often connects to stress, comfort, pain, habits, identity, unmet needs, exhaustion, and where we run when we feel overwhelmed.

For many people, sugar or comfort food has become the thing they reach for when they need relief, peace, reward, or comfort. But food can only offer temporary relief. It cannot heal what is happening in the heart.

At Temple Keepers, we do not respond to emotional eating with shame, guilt, or stricter rules. We help members and clients bring these patterns into the light with truth, grace, responsibility, and support.

We point you to something far better than food: your true source of comfort, Jesus.

The Bible shows us the way, and we help you learn how to walk that out in your real life. That may look like identifying triggers, renewing your mind, setting wise boundaries, nourishing your body well, building better habits, and learning how to run to the Lord instead of running to food for comfort.

This is not about being perfect. It is about learning how to surrender, heal, and take the next faithful step.

Is Temple Keepers a weight loss program?

Many people come to Temple Keepers because they want to get healthier, lose weight, feel better, have more energy, improve their bloodwork, or become more consistent. And yes, we help people do those things.

But weight loss is not the foundation or the main focus of Temple Keepers.

We are not built around vanity, quick fixes, body obsession, or chasing the scale. We help Christians learn God’s ways for health and wellness so they can build a healthier life from the inside out.

As you learn to nourish your body, move with purpose, rest well, renew your mind, surrender stress, and care for your body like the temple it is, physical changes often become a byproduct of that deeper work.

That may include losing weight, improving energy, building strength, improving bloodwork, reducing cravings, sleeping better, and becoming more consistent. But the deeper goal is stewardship.

We want you to care for your body in a way that honors God and lasts.

Do you offer workouts?

Yes. Academy members receive access to our workout app with preloaded strength training workouts, along with flexibility and mobility programs. 1:1 coaching clients receive more personalized workout programming based on their goals, fitness level, injury history, equipment, schedule, and needs.

While you may have access to workouts right away, our first focus is usually helping you build the habit of daily movement, especially walking.

Walking is deeply underrated in today’s world, but it is a vital part of living a healthy life God’s way. It supports your body, your mind, your stress, your energy, and your consistency without overwhelming you.

From there, we build wisely with walking, strength training, and cardio. For cardio, we often focus on simple zone 2 movement a few times per week through something you actually enjoy.

Our goal is to help you move your body with purpose, build strength, and create sustainable rhythms.

Movement is not punishment. It is stewardship. It can even become worship when we do it to honor God with the bodies He gave us.

What if I am brand new to exercise?

That is okay.

You do not need to be in shape before joining Temple Keepers. We help you start where you are and build from there.

For many people, the first step is not jumping into intense workouts. It may be walking more consistently, building simple daily movement, improving mobility, or learning how to show up faithfully.

Then, as you are ready, we help you build from there with strength training, cardio, flexibility, and mobility in a way that fits your body and your real life.

The goal is not to rush the process or punish your body into change.

The goal is to build wisely, move faithfully, and learn how to steward your body with strength, energy, and purpose.

What if I have health issues, injuries, hormones, or menopause concerns?

Many people come to Temple Keepers with real-life health challenges, injuries, hormone concerns, menopause symptoms, chronic stress, low energy, or years of frustration.

We help you build habits that support your body, but Temple Keepers does not replace medical care. We always encourage you to work with your doctor or appropriate medical professional for diagnosis, treatment, medication, lab work, or medical concerns.

Our role is to help you with coaching, education, habits, support, nutrition, movement, rest, peace, and stewardship.

What is 1:1 coaching?

Temple Keepers 1:1 coaching is personalized coaching for those who need more support, structure, accountability, and guidance.

1:1 clients receive access to the Temple Keeper Academy, plus a much deeper level of individualized support. Because coaching is online, we can work with clients no matter where they live.

Each 1:1 coaching journey begins with a two hour Deep Dive Call so your coach can clearly understand your goals, health history, current habits, challenges, season of life, and specific needs.

The goal is to help you stop trying to figure it all out alone and build a plan that fits your body, your life, your faith, and your goals.

How do I know if I need the Academy or 1:1 coaching?

The Academy is a great fit if you want teaching, structure, community, weekly support, workouts, Weekly Reflections, and a Christ-centered framework at a lower level of investment.

1:1 coaching may be a better fit if you need more personal guidance, direct accountability, customized support, or help working through deeper patterns with a coach.

If you are not sure, you can apply for 1:1 coaching or start inside the Academy and take the next step from there.

Do you work with churches?

Yes. Temple Keepers partners with churches, pastors, staff, and congregations.

We offer workshops, events, speaking, staff support, and 6-week health initiatives designed to help churches teach biblical stewardship of the body in a practical, Christ-centered way.

Our heart is to help churches support the health of their people so they can live, serve, lead, and love with greater capacity.

Do you work with Christian businesses or organizations?

Yes. Temple Keepers also serves Christian businesses and faith-based organizations through workshops, events, and 6-week health initiatives.

These experiences are designed to help teams build healthier rhythms around nutrition, movement, rest, and peace while connecting health back to biblical stewardship, leadership, service, and purpose.

Do I have to be a Christian to join Temple Keepers?

Temple Keepers is built for Christians, and everything we do is centered on God’s Word, biblical stewardship, identity in Christ, prayer, surrender, and honoring God with the body.

If you are looking for a faith-neutral program, Temple Keepers may not be the best fit.

If you are a Christian who wants your health journey to align with your faith, you will feel at home here.

Is Temple Keepers a diet?

No.

Temple Keepers is not a diet. We are not here to hand you another quick fix, challenge, or temporary plan.

We help Christians renew their minds, rebuild their habits, nourish their bodies, move with purpose, rest well, surrender stress, and care for their bodies like temples.

This is not about starting another diet. It is about learning a new way to live.

How is Temple Keepers different from other health programs?

Many health programs focus only on calories, workouts, weight loss, or appearance.

Temple Keepers starts with Scripture, identity, stewardship, and the renewing of the mind.

We still teach practical nutrition, movement, habits, sleep, stress, and consistency, but we do it through a Christ-centered lens.

We are not just asking, “How do we change your body?”

We are asking, “How do we help you honor God with your body?”

Can I join if I have failed at other programs before?

Yes.

Many of our members and clients come to Temple Keepers after years of trying other diets, workouts, plans, and programs.

Past failure does not disqualify you. It may simply mean you were trying to build lasting change on the wrong foundation.

At Temple Keepers, we help you slow down, renew your mind, build sustainable habits, and take faithful steps forward.

How do I get started?

The best place to start is by joining the Temple Keeper Academy or applying for 1:1 coaching.

If you want community, teaching, structure, Weekly Reflections, workouts, and support, the Academy is a great first step.

If you need more personalized coaching and accountability, 1:1 coaching may be the better fit.

Churches, pastors, Christian businesses, and faith-based organizations can also reach out to talk about workshops, events, speaking, or our 6-week health initiative.

Either way, the mission is the same: helping Christians care for their bodies like the temples they are.
